UCONN Master Plan

This $1 billion initiative was the most comprehensive university master planning effort in the country. It comprised 22 significant building projects in conjunction with over $300,000,000 of infrastructure improvements to be constructed in the next 10 years. All of these have been realized and another $1.3 billion initiative, UConn 21st Century, is now underway.

Collaboration

Every major constituency was engaged on a regular basis during the two year process of master planning. Monthly meetings included individual sessions with the president, chancellor, council of vice-presidents, the Master Planning Committee, the Facility Management and students.

Result

The new vision for the University allowed for the transformation of the campus through development which built upon their existing resources and leveraged every new project to strategically contribute and nourish academic life.
